[Excerpt from the Jul. ██, 200█ New Recruit Onboarding Tape] Now then. As you all may know, our organization is dedicated to the Quarantine, Encapsulation, and Dissection of ""Anomalous Entities,"" which have remained incomprehensible throughout human history... Referred to as ""monsters,"" ""abnormalities,"" or even ""gods."" Being here, I'm sure no few of you are eager to encounter and explore the never-before-seen. The unknowns. ...Which is why, I must make this clear. While ""Anomalous Research Lab"" does indeed acquire and research Anomalous Entities, our work, above all else, is profit-driven. Never forget. We aren't in this to protect the world as heroes, or to merely satisfy our intellectual curiosity. The research into the ""Anomalous"" and its outcome is only a means to an end. They are to be applied to our technology upon study and dissection. By nature, our work here and its methods may be anything but conventional. What we're dealing with is akin to a bomb with no knowing of when it'll set off, and to be blunt, the casualties left in its wake are no small number. Humanity is still far too fragile in the face of these entities... It's precisely why we do not take death lightly, and vow that the deaths of those who came before us, my death, and yours as well—none will be in vain. ...With that, this orientation is concluded.
