Deep Mist

―Oh... Yes... About that town? Was a nice place. Truly. Plenty of nature. Gorgeous lake just nearby. But I suppose its one drawback was the fog, rolled in often. Then come autumn and we'd hold a harvest festival. Pulled in quite a crowd of tourists. Though, of course this isn't New York—certainly didn't stay awake all night. The nights can get downright eerie at times. Speaking of, there were those "outsiders" too, a certain tension was in the air, sure. But the sunset reflecting off the lake…The whole town bathed in that glow, it was beautiful. Truly beautiful… ―And yet… Why… how... could something like that… Why…?
